Company History
RICOTECH was registered as a company in mid 2006 following a highly successful partnership with the DAMAR GROUP when they were appointed by Thames Water as an approved contractor to remove around 4000 PC assets from the Thames Water estate as part of a major IT Refresh project undertaken during that year. A secure dedicated data wiping centre was then set up near Bath, but soon expanded to larger premises near Wells, where all of the Thames Water assets are processed. Thames Water needed to be confident that whether an item is re-marketed, dismantled for component recycling or scrapped, there was no possibility that any data held on the device would remain available and that the companies legal and environmental standard (WEEE Directive) were being adhered to.
Jo Akers, Business Lead/Transformation Liaison Manager at Thames Water says " Thames Water have received a very professional and cost effective solution for our major refresh project and we will be continuing to utilise their services in the future".
RICOTECH, in partnership with the DAMAR GROUP, continue to provide Thames Water with an ongoing service of IT Asset removal, storage and disposal.
Business Principles
RICOTECH believe that the innovative approach and high quality, speed and efficiency of its service will help it succeed. This and the re-assurance that all appropriate regulations are being adhered to are the keys to success. This in turn helps you, our customers, to focus on and continue to develop your own core businesses.
As a firm, we pride ourselves on the minimum impact to the environment by the refurbishment and re-use via, remarketing (rental, sale and donations), of the maximum percentage of the equipment we collect, thereby minimising the amount of component recycling and scrap.
